Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Federico Lovalente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shuuji Hanamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shuuji Hanamoto told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanamoto dives in and grabs Lovalente's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lovalente pushes down on Hanamoto's head and hops out.

Hanamoto tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Hanamoto closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

It looks like Shuuji Hanamoto has been cut.
Hanamoto shoots in looking for a takedown but Lovalente manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hanamoto's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Federico Lovalente has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shuuji Hanamoto.
Hanamoto stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lovalente.
Hanamoto misses with a few strikes there.
Lovalente leaves Hanamoto with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lovalente lands with a kick to the temple. Hanamoto shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Hanamoto walks into a left hand.
Lovalente circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Hanamoto drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Lovalente follows Hanamoto to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
