Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Jayar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laurent Blanc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Jayar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Jayar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Laurent Blanc!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blanc shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Jayar pushes Blanc off looking to stand but Blanc dives back in and keeps control.
Blanc is pressing down on Jayar's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jayar is holding on for now.

Blanc is working for a submission of some sort.
Blanc prevents Jayar from standing back up.
Blanc uses his free foot to push down on Jayar's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jayar.

Blanc goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Jayar is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jayar is fighting to break Blanc's control of his arms but Blanc is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Jayar wanted to stand there but Blanc had control of the position.
Blanc is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Blanc pushes Jayar off and gets back to his feet.
Blanc avoids the head kick by Jayar.
Jayar misses with a head kick.
Jayar throws a head kick but Blanc moves out of range.
Jayar misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jayar pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Jayar gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Blanc won't allow Jayar to get back to his feet.
Jayar is breathing heavily.

Blanc thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jayar is looking to stand up but Blanc isn't so interested in that idea.
Blanc wants to pass the guard but Jayar is keeping the position.

Blanc drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Blanc jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Blanc is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jayar wants to stand and escape but Blanc is having none of it.

Blanc forces his way into half guard.
Blanc uses his free foot to push down on Jayar's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jayar.

Blanc swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Jayar is now in Blanc's guard. A big mistake from Blanc there, giving up the dominant position!
Jayar has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Blanc is pulling down on Jayar's head to control his posture.
Blanc bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jayar's guard.

Blanc drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Blanc seems to have locked his on tight now - Jayar screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Blanc, as he picks up the win!
