Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Pearce!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beard avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pearce lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Pearce displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Beard.
Beard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pearce pinned against the cage. Pearce gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Some bone on bone action there as Beard checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Beard fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for No Beard. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pearce has Beard up against the cage in a clinch.
Beard drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Pearce breaks the clinch.

Pearce closes the distance and clinches.

Pearce breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Pearce forces Beard back against the cage and clinches.

Pearce escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Beard fails to land the takedown.

Nice sprawl there from Pearce as Beard shoots in.
Beard shoots in looking for a takedown. Pearce tries to sprawl out of it but Beard keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pearce manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Pearce and Beard goes tumbling to the canvas! Pearce follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Beard is rocked!

It looks like No Beard has been cut.
Pearce lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Beard! More strikes land and this one is all over! Pearce jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
