Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between robert grossman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ransom Metz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Metz has chosen Not Afraid as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Columbo Gatti and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Metz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around grossman's waist but grossman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Metz off to one side.
Metz throws a series of punches but grossman moves out of range.
Metz shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Metz wants to pass to mount but grossman is defending the position.
grossman wants to control but Metz is keeping busy and won't allow it.
grossman is trying to stand back up but Metz is controlling him
Metz wants to stand up but grossman has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Metz is looking to take a break and control but grossman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

grossman swings around for an armbar but Metz sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into grossman's guard.

Metz is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by grossman.

Metz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. grossman smiles and moves away.

Metz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows grossman to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

grossman content to control rather than advance.
Metz is trying to stand.

Metz is defending against the submission attempts here by grossman.
