Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Castle Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rock comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Rogue from Scotland kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rock swivels and escapes.
Rock throws a series of punches but Mendes moves out of range.
That kick from Rock tenderised Mendes's leg. Mendes is trying to keep his angry face on.

Rock throws a hook but Mendes blocks it.

Mendes ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Mendes shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rock as he avoids it easily.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Mendes. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Rock stalks Mendes and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mendes's face. Mendes staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Gustavo Mendes has been cut.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rock.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A jab from Rock finds it's way through Mendes's defenses.
Rock lands with a straight right. Mendes didn't see that one coming.
Rock leaves Mendes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

No joy there for Rock, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mendes has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mendes there as he acknowledges the shot.
Mendes with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rock to score with a decent uppercut.

Well Rock has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
