Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dane Hoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalib Koscheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoy comes to the cage accompanied by -. Kalib Koscheck told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hoy clinches.
Koscheck blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hoy misses with some punches.

Koscheck escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hoy scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Koscheck misses with a straight left.
Hoy throws a shot from downtown. Koscheck moves away and avoids it.
Koscheck shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hoy but Hoy pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hoy wants to clinch up but Koscheck keeps it at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Koscheck fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Koscheck on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Hoy lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Dane Hoy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hoy finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Koscheck throws a hook to the side of Hoy's head but Hoy sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Koscheck misses with a takedown attempt - Hoy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dane Hoy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kalib Koscheck.
Hoy throws the left hand but Koscheck avoids the punch easily.
Koscheck takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Hoy connects with a body shot that sends Koscheck's belly button to the back.

Koscheck is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hoy's half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Koscheck seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Koscheck thows an elbow strike that misses. Hoy gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Koscheck doesn't seem too bothered but Hoy quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Koscheck is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Koscheck really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
