Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cornell Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and manuel Rosas Villa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that manuel Rosas Villa was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rosas Villa moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rosas Villa enables Jackson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rosas Villa manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jackson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Cornell Jackson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Jackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
