Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rogerio Rodrigo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodrigo comes to the cage accompanied by Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone. On his way into the cage it seems that Rogerio Rodrigo has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Rogerio Rodrigo seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigo misses with a few strikes there.

No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Rodrigo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Smith's guard now.
Rodrigo controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Smith is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rodrigo is controlling him.
Rodrigo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Rodrigo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smith is looking to stand up but Rodrigo isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rogerio Rodrigo.

Rodrigo bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

It looks like Kevin Smith has been cut.

Rodrigo shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rodrigo is keen to just control but Smith is a slippery customer.

Smith is not content to let Rodrigo control the position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Rodrigo is looking for a kimura but Smith is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rodrigo to get the leverage.

Smith has one foot on Rodrigo's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rodrigo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smith throws a hook but Rodrigo blocks it.

Rodrigo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Smith.

Rodrigo scores with a jab. Smith acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Smith throws a right and a left that Rodrigo avoids nicely.
Rodrigo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smith pinned against the cage. Smith gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Smith misses with a looping right.
Smith takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Smith uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rodrigo.
Smith ducks right into an uppercut from Rodrigo.
Rodrigo staying out of range there.
Rodrigo pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Smith takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Rodrigo lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kevin Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Smith walks into a straight right hand from Rodrigo.

Rodrigo is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Smith is in big trouble! Rodrigo is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Smith. Poor guy.
