The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago fails in his attempt to clinch.

Corvinus scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Corvinus looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Drago is trying to get back to full guard.
Corvinus stops Drago from getting back to his feet.
Corvinus uses his free foot to push down on Drago's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Drago.
Drago keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Corvinus wants to finish this one by submission but Drago is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Corvinus.

Corvinus is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Drago to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Drago shrugs it off.
Corvinus is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Drago can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Drago is looking to improve his position but Corvinus isn't that keen on the idea.

Corvinus looking for a guillotine from mount but Drago is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Corvinus with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Corvinus looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
