The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dupont throws a right hand that Pupkin ducks under and follows up with a left that Pupkin also avoids with ease.
Dupont will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dupont misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dupont throws a right and a left that Pupkin avoids nicely.
Dupont lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pupkin dodges the punch combination from Dupont.
No joy there for Dupont, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Pupkin shoots in but Dupont avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Dupont tries to bum rush Pupkin with a series of wild strikes but Pupkin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Pupkin has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dupont finds it's way round the side to connect with Pupkin's head.
Dupont fails to land with a series of punches.
Dupont leaves Pupkin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Pupkin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dupont to the mat! Dupont manages to get full guard.
Dupont wants to sweep but no luck.
Dupont knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pupkin on the ground.
Pupkin tries to free his leg and advance position but Dupont is retaining full guard.
Dupont is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Pupkin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Dupont really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Pupkin is working to tighten is grip on Dupont's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Dupont has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Pupkin is really squeezing tight and eventually Dupont passes out! Pupkin breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
