Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gorgeous Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Zat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Zat's choice of entrance music: Open your eyes by Alter Bridge. Gorgeous Bush could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gabriel Zat's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gorgeous Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gabriel Zat!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zat throws a quick inside leg kick.
Zat tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bush paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Zat feints and as Bush raises his hands in defense, Zat changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Zat wants to stand but Bush is controlling his posture from full guard.
Zat looking to sit in guard and control but Bush gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Zat can't keep his opponent in guard - Bush advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Zat is looking to control Bush's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Zat avoid being mounted?

Zat pushes Bush off and gets back to his feet.
Zat will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Zat counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bush won't be happy with that.
Zat wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bush keeps working.

Zat looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Bush is avoiding damage well.

Zat throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Zat wants to stand but Bush has his arm trapped.

What's Bush going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

Zat postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Zat thows a huge punch but Bush dodges it nicely.
Zat seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bush does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Zat is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bush is just riding it out for now. Zat eventually gives up the hold.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Bush with a lazy takedown attempt

and Zat counters with a single leg into guard. Bush didn't expect that.
Zat wants to control from the top but Bush keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zat would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Zat throws a strike but Bush rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Bush looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Zat avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Bush wants to control from the top but Zat keeps moving.
Bush engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Zat scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Zat misses with a jab, cross combination.
Zat moves in looking to clinch but Bush pushes him off.

Zat has managed to clinch.

Zat breaks from the clinch.
Bush fails with a takedown attempt.
Zat tries to clinch up.

Zat drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bush is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Zat trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Zat sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bush's guard.
Bush is refusing to be controlled, as Zat sits in half guard.

Bush is defending against the submission attempts here by Zat.
Zat is breathing heavily.
Zat tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Zat is looking for a kimura but Bush is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Zat to get the leverage.

Zat seems to be looking for submissions.
Bush trying to control from the bottom.
Bush regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Zat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gabriel Zat showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Zat throws a nice looking combination but Bush bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Zat takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Zat is trying to get back to full guard.

Zat moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Zat looking to control.
Bush stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zat swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bush slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bush trying to control the position from guard on top but Zat is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Zat is looking to stand up but Bush isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Zat counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bush!
Bush is looking to improve his position but Zat isn't that keen on the idea.

Bush tries to reverse the position but Zat maintains control.
Zat throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Bush sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Bush regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Zat.
Gabriel Zat is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Zat is looking to work some ground and pound but Bush has wrist control.
Zat looking to pass the guard.
Zat is fighting to break Bush's control of his arms but Bush is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Zat not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Gorgeous Bush has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I would just about give that final round to Gabriel Zat.
Well Zat has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
