PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between blunt damage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Argos Bloodfist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, blunt damage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Argos Bloodfist!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bloodfist swinging wilding here.
Bloodfist changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. damage tries to avoid it but Bloodfist manages to keep hold of a leg and drag damage to the ground. damage escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

damage closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

damage manages to pull guard.
Bloodfist trying to control the position from guard on top but damage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

damage looking for a guillotine here but Bloodfist defends easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bloodfist drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but damage manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bloodfist has damage in his guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bloodfist closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming damage to the mat! damage manages to get full guard.
damage keeping moving, preventing Bloodfist from controlling successfully.
Bloodfist is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
damage knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bloodfist on the ground.
damage wants to stand up but Bloodfist is controlling him.

Bloodfist stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. damage swivels though and keeps the full guard.
damage pulls Bloodfist in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bloodfist trying to control but damage is working from the bottom.

Bloodfist might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control damage kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nice sprawl there from Bloodfist as damage shoots in.

damage drives through and clinches with Bloodfist against the cage.

damage breaks from the clinch.
damage will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bloodfist shoots in for a takedown but damage shows good takedown defense.
damage throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
A head kick misses from Bloodfist.
Horrible takedown by damage or perhaps it was just good defense by Bloodfist which made him look bad.

and damage counters by moving into the clinch.

Bloodfist is fighting off a takedown attempt but damage is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Bloodfist to the mat. Bloodfist regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

damage on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if damage tries to get out of the position.
damage is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bloodfist is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Argos Bloodfist showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

damage working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bloodfist doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bloodfist manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

I would just about give that final round to Argos Bloodfist.
I think Bloodfist has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
