Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brent Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Renten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Renten!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Renten scores with a jab to the head.
Anderson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Renten swivels and escapes.
Anderson shoots in looking for a takedown but Renten manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Anderson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
No joy there for Renten, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Anderson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Renten is fending him off so far but Anderson persists. Nope, Renten circles away and we're back to standing.

Anderson shoots for a double leg takedown but Renten sprawls well. He's pushed Anderson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Renten is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Anderson.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Renten takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Jack Renten is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Renten lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Renten.

Jack Renten showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Anderson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Anderson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Renten doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Renten manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brent Anderson.
I think Renten has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
