The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bildt blocks a low kick nicely.
Bildt shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rivera sprawls well. Rivera wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bildt gets slowly back to his feet.

Bildt fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rivera avoids it really well and circles away.

Bildt is pressing down on Rivera's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rivera is holding on for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bildt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rivera tries to avoid it but Bildt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rivera to the ground. Rivera escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bildt tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rivera sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bildt somewhat.

Rivera stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rivera wants it to stay on the feet.
