Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Donovan Beltere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Beltere.

Steele gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Steele is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Beltere is aware though and is defending well.
Beltere is looking to work some ground and pound but Steele has wrist control.
Beltere knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Steele on the ground.

Steele has control of Beltere's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Beltere regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Steele is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Beltere can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Steele swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Beltere is now in Steele's guard. A big mistake from Steele there, giving up the dominant position!

Steele has his foot on Beltere's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Beltere works his way back into a safe position though.

Steele is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Beltere stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steele swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Steele is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Beltere defends well.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Beltere accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Steele lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Beltere!

Beltere closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Steele quickly recovers to half guard.

Beltere got a little sloppy there for a moment and Steele has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Beltere has managed to get both his arms back between Steele's legs - danger averted.
Steele is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Steele has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Beltere can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Steele is on top in guard.

Steele drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Steele as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Beltere screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Steele! Nice submission victory there!
