Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ilija Vasuta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marko Meek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ilija Vasuta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marko Meek!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Vasuta.
Vasuta closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Marko Meek has been cut.
Meek throws a low kick but it's checked well by Vasuta.

Meek drives through with a takedown into guard.
Meek is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Vasuta preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Meek pushes down on Vasuta's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Meek thows a huge punch but Vasuta dodges it nicely.
Vasuta is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vasuta is breathing heavily.
Meek controlling the pace.
Let's hope that Meek has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Marko Meek hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Meek throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vasuta was covering up waiting for the punch and Meek finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Vasuta avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Meek controls from within his opponent's guard.

Vasuta pushes Meek off and gets back to his feet.

Meek shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Vasuta is not content to let Meek control the position.
Meek takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Meek passes to full mount!
Vasuta knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Meek on the ground.
Meek controlling the pace for now.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vasuta is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Meek in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Meek lands a nice shot to the head.
Vasuta is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Vasuta tries to buck Meek off but Meek takes his back!
Good control from Meek.

Meek has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Vasuta! Can he survive? No! He's out! Meek gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
