Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Allmen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samson Ransom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Allmen comes to the cage accompanied by "Snakebite" by Racer X. The key to victory for James Allmen has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, James Allmen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Samson Ransom!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allmen scores with a three punch combo!
Allmen misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ransom shoots for a takedown but Allmen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Allmen.
Allmen blocks the strikes from Ransom.
Ransom tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Allmen easily slips into full mount!

Ransom trying desperately to get to his feet.
Ransom wants to hold on but Allmen pushes him away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Ransom moves in looking to clinch but Allmen pushes him off.

Ransom doesn't manage to clinch there - Allmen circles away.

Ransom is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Allmen makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Allmen.
Allmen keeping moving, preventing Ransom from controlling successfully.
Ransom wants to pass the guard but Allmen is keeping the position.
Ransom looking to sit in guard and control but Allmen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ransom is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ransom sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Allmen is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Allmen wants to get back to his feet but Ransom drags him back down.
Allmen looking for a sweep but Ransom has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Allmen squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ransom loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

James Allmen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Allmen wants to get back to his feet but Ransom is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ransom is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Allmen is controlling him.
Ransom manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Allmen tries to reverse the position but Ransom maintains control.
Ransom unloads with some shots from mount but Allmen bucks and avoids them well.
Allmen stops Ransom from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Allmen bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Ransom has his takedown stuffed
and Allmen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ransom takes one on the button.
Allmen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Allmen clinches up against the cage.
Ransom is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Allmen pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Allmen is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Ransom can't fight it off and eventually Allmen manages to take the fight to the floor. Ransom looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ransom is trying to keep Allmen in close.

Ransom is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Allmen wants to stand but Ransom has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ransom is on top in guard.

Ransom might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Allmen kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Allmen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Allmen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Ransom wants to control from the top but Allmen keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Allmen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Allmen connects with a knee to the head.


It looks like Samson Ransom has been cut.

Allmen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Samson Ransom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ransom swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Allmen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Allmen lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Allmen.

Ransom darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Allmen controlling the position well.

Ransom not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Ransom decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

and Allmen decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ransom's guard.
Samson Ransom has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Allmen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Ransom is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Allmen postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Ransom throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Ransom had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Allmen is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ransom Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Allmen's back instead.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well Allmen has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
