Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Webb avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A big right from Steele misses.
Good leg kick by Webb there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Webb tries a head kick but it misses.

Steele shoots in and bounces Webb off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Webb wants to stand up but Steele is controlling him.
Steele trying to control but Webb is working from the bottom.

Steele thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Steele wants to pass the guard but Webb is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Steele trying to control the position from guard on top but Webb is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Steele won't allow Webb to get back to his feet.
Steele pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Webb is keeping the position for now.
Steele slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Webb is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Webb tries to land a leg kick but Steele saw it coming and moves away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Webb plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


It looks like George Steele has been cut.
Steele cracks Webb with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Steele ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Webb moves away.
Webb pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Webb throws a low kick, looking for Steele's leg but Steele calmly moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Webb throws a head kick that misses.
Webb avoids the body shot from Steele.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Steele!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Danny Webb will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on George Steele's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Steele misses with a wild body shot.
Steele looks to throw the jab but Webb is out of range.

Steele shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Steele was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Steele has hold of Webb's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Webb manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Webb is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Steele jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Webb is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Webb and Steele has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Webb is trying to escape the position but Steele is controlling the position.
Steele tries to move to mount but Webb blocks the move with his legs.

Steele has hold of Webb's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Webb seems comfortable defending it but Steele has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Webb is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Webb is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Steele couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). George Steele!
