The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir misses with an uppercut. Stroud saw that one coming.
Mir throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stroud.
Stroud tries a head kick but it misses.
Mir works Stroud's body with a nice hook.
Mir lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Lee Stroud has been cut.
A head kick lands from Mir that sends Stroud to the canvas. Stroud tries to scramble back to his feet but Mir brings him back down into side control.

Stroud is rocked!
Mir scores with punches from side control.
Stroud is still in real trouble! Can Mir finish him?

Mir tries to score with some ground and pound. Stroud controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Mir trying to control the position but Stroud is working away.

Mir working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Mir tries to move into full mount but can't pass Stroud's legs.
The ground and pound from Mir seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Stroud seems to have recovered his senses.

Mir postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Mir shoots for a takedown but Stroud saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mir misses with the combination.
Stroud avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Stroud looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Mir!
Mir is breathing heavily.
Stroud with good strikes from the mount here!

Stroud goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mir turns into him and now he's in Stroud's guard.
Mir wants to pass the guard but Stroud is keeping the position.

Stroud looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Stroud has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Mir off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mir lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Stroud has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Stroud and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Mir tries to clinch but Stroud moves out of range.
Mir tries to bum rush Stroud with a series of wild strikes but Stroud uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mir misses with a jab, cross combination.

Stroud feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Stroud makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Mir is trying to control the position but Stroud postures up.
Mir looking for a sweep. Not yet Mir, not yet.

Stroud decides to stand up, so the ref orders Mir to his feet.

Stroud fails with an attempt to clinch.
Stroud has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mir.
Mir connects with a body shot.
Mir tries to clinch there but Stroud circles away.

Stroud shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Stroud stands and throws Mir's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Stroud decides to stand back up. Stroud steps back and let's Mir get back to his feet.
Mir takes a kick to the side of the head.
Mir wants to clinch but Stroud slips to the side

and Stroud counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Stroud.

Mir breaks the clinch.
Mir swings for the body but Stroud moves out of range.
Mir throws a left and a right that both miss

and Stroud counters with a takedown into side control.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mir tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stroud wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Mir looking for a sweep but Stroud has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Stroud lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Oh Mir is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Stroud has isolated one of Mir's arms. Mir looking to fight him off but Stroud twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
