Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hank Hill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Francis Cardon!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill dips to his left and cracks Cardon with an uppercut!
Hill thuds his right hand into Cardon's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Hill keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hill throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cardon sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Cardon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hill as he jumps to the side.
Hill lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cardon circles away quickly and effectively.
Hill lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hill throws a jab but it's blocked by Cardon.
Cardon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hill sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Hank Hill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Francis Cardon.
Cardon moves forwards but Hill connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Hill lands a jab-cross combination.
Cardon slips under a jab from Hill.
Hank Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cardon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Hill feints and as Cardon raises his hands in defense, Hill changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Hill is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Hill keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cardon's head.

Hill has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hill wants to pass the guard but Cardon is keeping the position.

Cardon is looking for a triangle but Hill pushes his legs off easily.
Hill keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cardon's head.
Hill looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cardon can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hill is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Hill is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Cardon wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Hank Hill.
Hill scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Cardon on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Hill lands a nice looking body shot.
Hill jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Hill scores with a sloppy right hand. Cardon should have avoided that one.
Hill lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Cardon fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nice jab there from Hill.
Hill connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Cardon momentarily.
Cardon takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A decent looking cross lands there for Hill.
Hill scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Cardon has his takedown stuffed
enabling Hill to counter with a crisp jab.
Cardon looks gassed!
Cardon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Cardon takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Hill is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cardon's half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hill stands up out of the half guard.
Cardon takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hill lands a glancing blow to the side of Cardon's head.

and Hill connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cardon walks into a left hand.
Hill thuds a left hand into Cardon's body.
Hill lands a head shot.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hank Hill dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hill lands a really nice looking cross but Cardon seems unphased.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Hill.
Cardon gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Hill with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Hill working Cardon over with strikes.
Cardon is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hill's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hill's back!
Hill tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Hill is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Cardon is breathing heavily.
Hill doing his best to control the position. Can he escape?

Cardon moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Hill has worked his arm free - good work by Hill!
Hill manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Hill moves into full guard.
Hill lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cardon!
Hill lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Hill sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hill has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
A nice elbow there by Hill.
Hill postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cardon looks a forlorn figure.
Cardon is bucking up trying to escape but Hill cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cardon is trying to escape the mount.
A nice elbow there by Hill.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cardon is working to get back to half guard.
Hill content just to control the position here.
Cardon is in a horrible position here. Hill smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The referee warns Cardon that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.


Cardon is rocked!
Cardon takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Hill's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
