Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robert Pawter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Allen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Realest Sport. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robert Pawter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Allen!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Allen with that takedown attempt.

Allen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Allen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pawter wants to sweep but no luck.
Allen cracks Pawter with a solid left hand.

Pawter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Allen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Allen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Allen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pawter is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Allen scores with a couple of nice shots.
Pawter is looking to control Allen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pawter avoid being mounted?

Allen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pawter defends it well.
Allen lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Allen wants to control but Pawter is keeping him busy.
Pawter tries to roll over but Allen keeps him under control.

Pawter throws out a leg kick but Allen moves out of range and Pawter only half commits.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Allen.

Pawter lands a big shot there that rocks Allen but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Allen wants to control but Pawter is having none of it.

Pawter postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Allen looks a forlorn figure.

Pawter manages to capitalize on a mistake by Allen to take his back!
Allen is trying to get back to his feet but Pawter has full control of the position and if anything, Allen has just worked his way into a worse spot.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pawter is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Allen slips a nice elbow through Pawter's hands, connecting with Pawter's forehead.

Allen passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Pawter!
Pawter is bucking up trying to escape but Allen cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Allen swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Pawter is now in Allen's guard. A big mistake from Allen there, giving up the dominant position!

Allen is looking for a triangle but Pawter pushes his legs off easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Allen gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Pawter regains guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pawter is on top in guard.
Pawter wants to control from the top but Allen keeps moving.
Pawter throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Pawter is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Pawter wants to get up but he can't break Allen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I think Allen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
