The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Apae has taken the fight to the clinch.
merrill goes for a takedown in the clinch but Apae prevents it.
merrill is trying to stall.
merrill jumps guard but Apae stands there with merrill around his waist. merrill gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Apae is struggling to control the position.

Apae has merrill pressed against the cage, preventing merrill from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
