Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Garrett Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kanye Kuma Kenya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kuma Kenya has chosen RUN this town as his entrance music. Kanye Kuma Kenya will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kanye Kuma Kenya!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Day fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kuma Kenya manages to avoid it.

Day looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kuma Kenya holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kuma Kenya tries to get to full guard but Day has control of the leg.

Day has gone for a leg lock! Kuma Kenya slips out almost immediately though and dives into Day's guard.

Day escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kuma Kenya gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Day keeping moving, preventing Kuma Kenya from controlling successfully.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kuma Kenya passes Day's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Kuma Kenya wants to control but Day is keeping him busy.

Kuma Kenya is working for a submission of some sort.
Day is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Day moves into full guard.
Kuma Kenya is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Day is looking to stand up but Kuma Kenya isn't so interested in that idea.
Kuma Kenya wants to control from the top but Day keeps moving.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Day controls Kuma Kenya momentarily but Kuma Kenya frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Day swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Day ducks right into an uppercut from Kuma Kenya.
Day tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Day throws a hook but Kuma Kenya avoids it easily.
Kuma Kenya connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Day momentarily.
Day throws a body punch but Kuma Kenya moves out of range.
Day looks to throw the jab but Kuma Kenya is out of range.
Kuma Kenya bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Day swats away the attempt to clinch by Kuma Kenya.
Garrett Day seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A slapping leg kick lands for Day.
Kuma Kenya fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Day on the side of the head.

Kuma Kenya tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Day paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kuma Kenya wants to sweep here but Day controlling him for the moment.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Day accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Day is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kuma Kenya is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kuma Kenya has escaped and now he's on top!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kuma Kenya is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Day defends it well.
Day is not content to let Kuma Kenya control the position.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kuma Kenya enables Day to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kuma Kenya manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Kuma Kenya might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Day kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
