PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jason Shields has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jason Shields seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin shoots in and drives through. Shields sprawls well.
Griffin wants to clinch.

Shields has closed the distance and engaged Griffin in a clinch.
Shields wants a takedown but no success here.
Shields fails to pull guard.
Shields misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Griffin.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Shields is just content to waste time from the top position. Griffin takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jason Shields.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shields, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
