The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colozo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Elowitz to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Colozo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Elowitz is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Elowitz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Elowitz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Elowitz drops back looking for a leg! Colozo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Colozo manages to kick Elowitz off! Elowitz jumps back into Colozo's guard.

Colozo wants to get back to his feet but Elowitz passes into half guard.
