The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruaa cracks Farley with an open hand slap.

Bruaa shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Farley is trying to defend but Bruaa finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Bruaa lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Bruaa working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bruaa is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Farley!

Bruaa postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Farley looks a forlorn figure.

Bruaa lands a big shot there that rocks Farley but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Farley is rocked!
Farley tries to hold on but Bruaa postures up.
Bruaa lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Oh Farley is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Farley is desperately trying to improve his position but Bruaa has a good base and remains in mount.
Farley seems to have got his legs back now.

Bruaa jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Farley manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Farley is looking to regain half guard here but Bruaa keeps moving and retains side control.
Bruaa works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Bruaa unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Farley wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Bruaa celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
