Rivers comes to the cage accompanied by hed(pe)- Bartender. Richard Callaghan has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Aiden Rivers's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Richard Callaghan!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Callaghan throws a combination. Rivers tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Callaghan throws a nice looking combination but Rivers bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rivers tries for a takedown but Callaghan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Callaghan leaves Rivers with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Rivers is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Callaghan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Callaghan has escaped and now he's on top!

Rivers is looking to improve his position but Callaghan isn't that keen on the idea.

Richard Callaghan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Callaghan, as that shot connected.

Rivers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Callaghan moves away.
Rivers shoots for a double leg takedown but Callaghan sprawls well. He's pushed Rivers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Rivers throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rivers will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rivers closes this distance looking for a takedown but Callaghan circles away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Callaghan fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rivers on the side of the head.
Rivers is looking to wear down Callaghan with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Rivers changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Callaghan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Rivers throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Callaghan works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Richard Callaghan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Callaghan connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Rivers to the floor! Callaghan dives in looking for the finish!

Well Callaghan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
