Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bob pickerins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nobutaka Hiyoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think pickerins might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to way of the fist. Hiyoshi has chosen Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob pickerins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nobutaka Hiyoshi!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiyoshi getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
It looks like Bob pickerins has been cut.
Hiyoshi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Nobutaka Hiyoshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hiyoshi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hiyoshi throws a hook to the side of pickerins's head but pickerins sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hiyoshi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but pickerins was well out of range. Poor timing from Hiyoshi.

Hiyoshi scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. pickerins doesn't seem bothered though.

Hiyoshi is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down pickerins rather than just go for the knockout.
Hiyoshi missing with a left hand there. pickerins was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
pickerins takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

pickerins takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Hiyoshi lands with a straight right. pickerins didn't see that one coming.
Hiyoshi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract pickerins.
Hiyoshi bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps pickerins's head backwards.
Hiyoshi's corner calls for a 1-2. Hiyoshi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
A nice combination there by Hiyoshi.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hiyoshi throws a lazy right hand but pickerins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Hiyoshi cracks pickerins on the jaw with a powerful right hand and pickerins falls backwards against the cage. Hiyoshi follows up with more strikes that drop pickerins to his knees. Hiyoshi keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save pickerins! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nobutaka Hiyoshi!
