Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carlitos Riquelme!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Juan Dela Cruz!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dela Cruz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dela Cruz wants it to stay on the feet.

Dela Cruz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Riquelme napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Riquelme tries to bench press Dela Cruz off him but Dela Cruz keeps the position.
Dela Cruz remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Dela Cruz wants to control for a moment but Riquelme uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Dela Cruz shoots in looking for a takedown. Riquelme tries to sprawl out of it but Dela Cruz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Riquelme manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Riquelme shoots in for a double leg but Dela Cruz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That was a close second round but I would say that Carlitos Riquelme will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Riquelme enables Dela Cruz to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Riquelme manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
