PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Evgeni Klebanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Klebanov's entrance music is Your Worst Nightmare. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klebanov looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Klebanov cracks the inside of Johnson's front leg.
Johnson thuds his right hand into Klebanov's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Johnson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Klebanov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Klebanov lands in his opponent's guard.
Klebanov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Johnson can't keep his opponent in guard - Klebanov advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Klebanov is taking a breather. Johnson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

A lull in the action here.
Johnson pushes Klebanov away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Klebanov gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Klebanov remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet but Klebanov drags him back down.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Klebanov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Johnson was covering up waiting for the punch and Klebanov finishes the takedown easily into guard.
