Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Fetch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Francis Rodriguez!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Fetch scores with a takedown into Rodriguez's guard.
Fetch stands up over Rodriguez, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Rodriguez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Fetch advances to half guard.
Fetch not doing much here.
Fetch looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rodriguez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Rodriguez is looking to escape.
Fetch stalling.
Rodriguez avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Fetch.
Rodriguez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fetch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fetch wants to free his trapped foot but Rodriguez is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fetch in particular looking to stall.
Rodriguez looks gassed!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jake Fetch wasn't doing enough on the ground.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rodriguez enables Fetch to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rodriguez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Fetch has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fetch stands and throws Rodriguez's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Fetch happy to just control the position for now.
Rodriguez takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
A lull in the action here as Fetch stalls from top position.
Rodriguez bucks up and tries to throw Fetch off but instead Fetch has got his back!

Fetch is persistently looking for the submission but Rodriguez is defending it well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Fetch working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
What can Rodriguez do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Fetch is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Rodriguez is tapping out! This one is all over!
