Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sean Brannigan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
17 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryan Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brannigan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gracie on the side of the head.
That has opened up Ryan Gracie's cut even more.
Gracie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Brannigan darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Brannigan gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Brannigan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gracie sprawling to the canvas! Gracie rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Brannigan finish him?!
Gracie is rocked!
Look low, kick high! Brannigan uses the oldest trick in the book to send Gracie tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Brannigan is absolutely delighted - when Gracie wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Sean Brannigan!
