Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kuroichi Randomline (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Cannon has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chris Cannon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kuroichi Randomline!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randomline tests Cannon's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Randomline closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cannon quickly recovers to half guard.

Cannon looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Randomline tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Cannon.
Cannon trying to hold on to Randomline's head to control him but Randomline postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Randomline escapes and gets back to his feet.
Randomline fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kuroichi Randomline seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cannon misses with a takedown
and Randomline makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Cannon really felt that one!

Randomline is looking to improve his position.
Randomline gets full guard.
Randomline keeping moving, preventing Cannon from controlling successfully.
Cannon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Randomline has Cannon pulled in close to control his posture.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Randomline lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cannon!
Cannon is desperately trying to improve his position but Randomline has a good base and remains in mount.

Randomline looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Randomline takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Let's hope that Randomline has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cannon really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Randomline unloads with some shots from mount but Cannon bucks and avoids them well.
Cannon is in all sorts of trouble here.

Randomline cracks Cannon with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Randomline throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Randomline tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Randomline looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Cannon keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Cannon is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Randomline closes the distance and pushes Cannon back into the cage.
Randomline lands a body punch in the clinch.
Cannon tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Randomline just stands there and leans against the cage.

Cannon postures up in Randomline's guard and throws a big left but Randomline blocks it.
Cannon is looking to work some ground and pound but Randomline has wrist control.
Randomline has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Randomline keeping moving, preventing Cannon from controlling successfully.
Randomline bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cannon's guard.

Cannon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cannon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cannon wants to control but Randomline is keeping him busy.
Randomline struggling a bit here.
Randomline tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cannon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Cannon tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Randomline is looking to reverse the position.

Randomline tries to bench press Cannon off him but Cannon keeps the position.
Randomline is trying to control Cannon's posture but Cannon avoids it.
Randomline sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Randomline controlling the position for now.

Cannon is looking for a kimura but Randomline is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cannon to get the leverage.

Randomline is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cannon pulls his head out easily.

Randomline is positioning himself well to prevent Cannon advancing to mount.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Randomline wants to improve his position but Cannon is controlling well.

Cannon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Randomline's head.
Randomline is doing well to control the position and prevent Cannon from advancing to side control.
Cannon lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Randomline tries to get to full guard but Cannon has control of the leg.

Kuroichi Randomline showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Randomline throws a jab but it's blocked by Cannon.
Cannon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Randomline counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Cannon isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Randomline stacks Cannon on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Randomline!
Randomline lands some shots froms side control.

Randomline has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Cannon gets caught flat footed, as Randomline shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Randomline gets to his feet. Cannon looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cannon tries for a takedown but Randomline circles away easily

and Randomline counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Cannon is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Cannon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Randomline wants the takedown. Cannon is fighting it off but Randomline persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Cannon's guard against the cage.

Randomline decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cannon, up you get!

Cannon wants to control but Randomline postures up.

Randomline throws an elbow but Cannon slips to the side and avoids it well.
Cannon is trying to improve his position.

Randomline sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Cannon is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cannon misses with an elbow from the bottom.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Cannon is looking for a sweep.
Randomline moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Randomline thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Cannon tries to buck Randomline off but Randomline is having none of it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kuroichi Randomline comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Randomline has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
