Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Fenomeno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janhino Suerto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suerto has chosen 50 Cent-Ready For War (Remix) as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Janhino Suerto was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fenomeno will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Fenomeno fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Suerto shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fenomeno's guard.
Suerto content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Fenomeno is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Suerto wants to pass the guard but Fenomeno is keeping the position.
Suerto slips nicely into half guard.

Suerto is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fenomeno defends it well.

Suerto winds up and cracks Fenomeno with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Suerto is working for a submission of some sort.
Fenomeno pushes Suerto off looking to stand but Suerto dives back in and keeps control.
Suerto lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Suerto is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Fenomeno is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Suerto decides to stand up.

Suerto feints and as Fenomeno raises his hands in defense, Suerto changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Fenomeno is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Suerto wants to control from the top but Fenomeno keeps moving.
Fenomeno knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Suerto on the ground.
Suerto passes Fenomeno's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Suerto is trying to control. Fenomeno wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Suerto slips a nice elbow through Fenomeno's hands, connecting with Fenomeno's forehead.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Suerto connects with a nice short shot to Fenomeno's temple.
Fenomeno is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Suerto wants to control but Fenomeno is keeping him busy.
Fenomeno is trying to stand.
Fenomeno is breathing heavily.
Suerto working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Oh Fenomeno is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Suerto looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Fenomeno seems to have got his legs back now.

Suerto is looking for a kimura but Fenomeno is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Suerto to get the leverage.

Suerto wants to work for an arm triangle but Fenomeno is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Suerto is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Fenomeno is trying to stand up here but Suerto is controlling him well.
Fenomeno has hold of Suerto's hands but Suerto slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Suerto looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Fenomeno misses with a takedown attempt

and Suerto counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fenomeno!

Suerto working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Fenomeno looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Suerto! Submission of the night perhaps?
