Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Aerts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Bandana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bandana has chosen Los del Rio - La Macarena as his entrance music. The key to victory for Peter Aerts has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aerts throws a body punch but Bandana moves out of range.

That has opened up Dirk Bandana's cut even more.
Bandana chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Aerts can pounce on him.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Aerts. Bandana shrugs it off though.

Aerts drops Bandana with a beautiful combination! Bandana stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Aerts is looking for the KO!

Dirk Bandana's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Bandana has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Aerts is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Bandana throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Aerts was covering up waiting for the punch and Bandana finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Aerts is pulling down on Bandana's head. It's preventing any offense from Bandana, at least for the moment.
Aerts knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bandana on the ground.

Bandana drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bandana jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Aerts scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Peter Aerts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Aerts counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bandana is lucky that one didn't land flush.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Aerts here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Bandana tries to move into range but Aerts moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Aerts tries to land a front kick but Bandana steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Bandana has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Aerts finds it's way round the side to connect with Bandana's head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
