PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Poor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Dellucio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dellucio comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I Am Not A Human Being kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Fernando Poor is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dellucio looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Horrible takedown by Dellucio or perhaps it was just good defense by Poor which made him look bad.
Poor doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Dellucio counters with a takedown into side control.
Dellucio taking a breather here.
Poor can't do much from the bottom here.
What's Poor going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

Dellucio decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Dellucio rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Poor moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Dellucio fails to land the takedown.
Fernando Poor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Dellucio.
Poor looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dellucio.
Dellucio looks gassed!

Poor moves into the clinch successfully.
Dellucio jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Poor walks away with a smile on his face. Dellucio gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Poor fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dellucio avoids it really well and circles away.
Dellucio tries to close the distance and clinch but Poor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Poor looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Poor tries for a takedown but Dellucio sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dellucio misses the shot to the body.

Poor decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Poor lands with a punch from half guard.
Poor not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dellucio wants to get back to his feet.
Poor controlling the pace.
Dellucio strikes from the bottom but Poor passes into mount!

Poor trying to control but Dellucio is having none of it.

Poor has hold of Dellucio's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dellucio manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Dellucio is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dellucio keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Poor takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Dellucio tries to hold on but Poor pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee warns Dellucio that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Dellucio is squirming around, avoiding Poor's attempts to control the action.
Dellucio is desperately trying to improve his position but Poor has a good base and remains in mount.
Dellucio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Poor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Poor controlling the position easily from mount.

Dellucio has left one of his arms exposed and Poor doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Dellucio screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
