Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Donato Russo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robert Wiltsie!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wiltsie scores with a jab.
Wiltsie scores with a leg kick.
Russo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Russo takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Russo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A jab from Wiltsie misses.
Russo misses with a low kick.
Wiltsie moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Wiltsie misses with a hook.
Russo takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Russo looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Russo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Wiltsie to score with a decent uppercut.

No joy there for Wiltsie, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A telegraphed right hand from Wiltsie misses the target.

Russo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wiltsie quickly recovers to half guard.

Russo is looking to take a break and control but Wiltsie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Russo is nestled in close to Wiltsie, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Let's hope that Wiltsie has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Russo throws a strike but Wiltsie rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Russo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Russo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wiltsie manages to get himself to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Robert Wiltsie will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Wiltsie fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Russo manages to avoid it.

letting Wiltsie counter with a right hand.

Wiltsie scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Wiltsie will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Wiltsie counters with a nice body shot.
Wiltsie connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Russo momentarily.
Robert Wiltsie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wiltsie throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Wiltsie fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wiltsie dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Russo. That did some damage!

Russo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Wiltsie counters with a nice low kick that buckles Russo's knee momentarily.
Robert Wiltsie seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Wiltsie scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Wiltsie scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Russo on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Russo has his takedown stuffed
and Wiltsie counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Russo closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
A head kick by Wiltsie misses
and Russo counters with a good, hard body kick but Wiltsie shrugs it off.
Wiltsie lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wiltsie connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Wiltsie dips to his left and cracks Russo with an uppercut!
Wiltsie connects with an inside leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robert Wiltsie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

It looks like Donato Russo has been cut.
Wiltsie connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Wiltsie ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Robert Wiltsie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

and Wiltsie counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Wiltsie cracks Russo with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Wiltsie throws a series of strikes that have Russo backpedaling.
Donato Russo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
