Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Neil Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maia Bee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bee has chosen Pszczółka Maja as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bee closes the distance and clinches.
Diaz fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Bee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Neil Diaz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bee.

Diaz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bee can do anything to dispel that myth.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch but Bee swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Diaz misses with a takedown attempt - Bee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bee fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Diaz.

Maia Bee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Diaz is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Horrible takedown by Diaz or perhaps it was just good defense by Bee which made him look bad.

Bee fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Diaz has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Diaz sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
