Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Alcano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Wentworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alcano comes to the cage accompanied by Three Stars & A Sun. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Alcano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Al Wentworth!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wentworth fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wentworth closes the distance and pushes Alcano back into the cage.
Wentworth is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Alcano is defending well for now.
Wentworth tries to break free but Alcano pushes him back against the cage.
Alcano blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Wentworth breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wentworth throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Wentworth uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Alcano.
Alcano slips a jab and a cross from Wentworth.
Alcano misses with the combination.
Wentworth thuds his shin into the meat of Alcano's side.
Wentworth throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wentworth misses with a head kick.
Alcano throws a body punch but Wentworth moves out of range.
Wentworth on the wrong end of a nice jab.
It looks like Al Wentworth has been cut.
Wentworth scores with a head kick. Alcano tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Alcano tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wentworth was well out of range. Poor timing from Alcano.
Alcano thows a left - swing and a miss!
Wentworth lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Alcano circles away quickly and effectively.
No joy there for Alcano, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Alcano chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Wentworth can pounce on him.
Wentworth throws a half hearted mid kick.
Alcano drops Wentworth with a left and a right! Oh, Wentworth is hurt - Alcano dives into side control looking to finish!
Wentworth is rocked!
Wentworth wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Wentworth tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Wentworth defending against the ground and pound.
Alcano postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wentworth is looking to reverse the position.
Wentworth isn't going anywhere.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Wentworth struggling a bit here.
Alcano landing a few strikes.
Alcano in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Wentworth tries to bench press Alcano off him but Alcano keeps the position.
Alcano throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Wentworth is looking to regain half guard here but Alcano keeps moving and retains side control.
Alcano lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Wentworth down.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Alcano has hold of Wentworth's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Wentworth tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Alcano cranks the arm and Wentworth screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Wentworth, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jose Alcano!
