The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patel bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ataturk's head.

Patel drops his shoulder and cracks Ataturk with a huge uppercut! Ataturk goes down! Can Patel finish him?

Ataturk is trying to control the position but Patel postures up.
Ataturk looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Patel displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ataturk.
Asheesh Patel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Patel.
Ataturk drops his hands for a split second and Patel immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Ataturk face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Patel follows up with a right hand that knocks Ataturk into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
