The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tom fails with the takedown.
Torres looks for a takedown but Tom sprawls well.
Tom misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tom tries to clinch up but Torres circles away and keeps his distance.

and Torres counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tom's guard now.
Torres won't allow Tom to sweep him here.

Torres tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Torres has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Torres has hold of Tom's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tom manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Tom has had enough of the clinch but Torres keeps him there for the moment.

Torres drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Tom manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Torres has Tom in his guard.

Torres shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tom but Tom pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Torres is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tom is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tom should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Torres closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Torres wants to control from the top but Tom keeps moving.
Torres is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tom is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Torres feints and as Tom raises his hands in defense, Torres changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Torres shoots in looking for a takedown. Tom tries to sprawl out of it but Torres keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tom manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Tom tries to bum rush Torres with a series of wild strikes but Torres uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Torres, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
