PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zbychu Mcabra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wiz Khalifa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mcabra.
Mcabra tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Khalifa swivels and escapes.
Khalifa lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Zbychu Mcabra has been cut.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Khalifa has eaten all the pies!
Khalifa lands a really nice looking cross but Mcabra seems unphased.

Mcabra moves into the clinch.

Khalifa has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mcabra uses from the top position.

Khalifa had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mcabra defends it easily.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Zbychu Mcabra wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Khalifa shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mcabra's guard.
Mcabra wants to get back to his feet but Khalifa is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Khalifa controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mcabra is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Mcabra pushes Khalifa off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Mcabra shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Khalifa manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Mcabra seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Khalifa has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Khalifa lands a two punch combo.
Zbychu Mcabra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Khalifa throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mcabra tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Khalifa is in Mcabra's guard.

Mcabra pushes Khalifa off and gets back to his feet.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zbychu Mcabra. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Still in the clinch, Khalifa scores with a nice short uppercut.

Mcabra gets control of Khalifa's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mcabra will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mcabra wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Mcabra doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Khalifa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mcabra has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Mcabra drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Mcabra seems to have locked his on tight now - Khalifa screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Mcabra, as he picks up the win!
