PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Edward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Phillips might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Tarantula. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Ryan Edward enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Edward!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edward wants to slow Phillips down by chopping away at his legs.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Phillips.
Phillips shoots in and drives through. Edward sprawls well.
Phillips looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Edward is fending him off so far but Phillips persists. Nope, Edward circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lee Phillips. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Edward jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Edward connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Edward fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Edward wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Phillips checks the leg kick nicely there.
Edward lunges at Phillips with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Phillips's hand.
Phillips fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Edward. Those never looked like landing.
Phillips ducks under a wild hook from Edward.

Edward throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Edward is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Phillips.
Edward lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Phillips fails with a takedown attempt.
Edward cracks Phillips with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Phillips uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Edward.
Phillips looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Edward changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Phillips is breathing heavily.
Phillips shoots in looking for a takedown but Edward manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Phillips's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Edward throws a nice looking combination but Phillips bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Edward digs a good body shot into Phillips's ribs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nice body punch from Edward.
Phillips takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Edward catches Phillips with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Jab, jab by Edward - just one landing.

Phillips is rocked!
Edward flashes Phillips a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Phillips's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Phillips crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Edward punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
