Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kim Ruuti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cristian Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Gonzales looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ruuti fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Gonzales fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Gonzales pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Gonzales shoots in and bounces Ruuti off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Ruuti has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Gonzales off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Gonzales fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ruuti manages to avoid it.

Gonzales closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Ruuti regains full guard. Nicely done.
Ruuti tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gonzales is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Ruuti lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gonzales!
Ruuti will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Gonzales tries to get back to half guard but can't.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gonzales can do anything to dispel that myth.

Gonzales is bucking up trying to escape but Ruuti cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

It looks like Cristian Gonzales has been cut.

Ruuti is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Gonzales is surviving well by controlling Ruuti's body position as best he can.
