Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Strope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Royce Gracie has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strope lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

It looks like Royce Gracie has been cut.

Strope feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gracie sprawling to the canvas! Gracie rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Strope finish him?!

Gracie is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gracie dodges the punch combination from Strope.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Strope but Strope pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Strope sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Strope gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gracie to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Strope is keeping the position.
Strope throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Strope throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Gracie passes Strope's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Strope is looking to improve his position.
Gracie has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Strope squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Gracie has hold of Strope's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Strope manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Gracie is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Strope has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Gracie working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Strope is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Strope has his hands clasped together but Gracie breaks the hold and Strope is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Gracie!
