The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fury swings for the body but Murphy moves out of range.
Murphy has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fury.
Murphy throws a hook but Fury avoids it easily.
Nice uppercut there from Fury.
A low kick from Murphy is predictable there
and Fury counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Murphy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fury tries to avoid it but Murphy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fury to the ground. Fury escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Fury makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Fury uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Murphy.
Fury clobbers Murphy with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

It looks like Kirk Murphy has been cut.
Murphy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fury connects with a right hand. Murphy shakes it off.
A jab from Fury does it's job there.
Fury lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Murphy has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fury.
Kirk Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fury lands with a kick to the temple. Murphy shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fury, as that shot connected.

That has opened up Kirk Murphy's cut even more.
Fury lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Murphy takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Nice cross by Fury.
Fury pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Murphy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A chopping leg kick lands by Fury.
Murphy on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Floyd Fury is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Murphy takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Fury lands a right hook to the body.
Fury lands a head kick. Murphy smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

The cut above Kirk Murphy's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Fury circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Murphy tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Fury wins by KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Floyd Fury!
