The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva gets a clinch.
Teikalainen is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Silva steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Teikalainen.

Gomez Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silva tries to clinch up but Teikalainen circles away and keeps his distance.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Teikalainen as he jumps to the side.

Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Teikalainen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fighters circle momentarily. Teikalainen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva.
Teikalainen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.
Good exchange - Teikalainen coming out on top.
Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Teikalainen which made him look bad.

Teikalainen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Silva's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Silva's back!

Silva wants to hold on but Teikalainen pushes him away.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Teikalainen cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Silva wants to hold on but Teikalainen pushes him away.
Teikalainen lands a nice shot to the head.
Silva wants to control but Teikalainen is having none of it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Silva is bucking up trying to escape but Teikalainen cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Teikalainen postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Silva looks a forlorn figure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
