Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Corleone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corleone has chosen Four Year Strong - Find My Way Back as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rich Corleone!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corleone throws a looping overhand right but Smith ducks down to avoid it.
Corleone displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Smith moves out of range of the strikes.
Nice uppercut lands for Smith. That snapped Corleone's head back.
Corleone misses with a two punch combination.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Corleone checks a leg kick.
Corleone looks to land a right hand but Smith moved out of range.
Smith scores with a spinning back kick!
Corleone moves away from the strike by Smith.
Smith pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Smith walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Corleone checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Smith swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Corleone counters with a three punch combo that has Smith backing up. Smith nods at Corleone to acknowledge the strikes.

Corleone throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smith sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Smith slips under a jab.
Corleone lands with an uppercut that bounces Smith off the cage and back into rage.
Corleone takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Smith wants to slow Corleone down by chopping away at his legs.
Corleone fails to land the takedown.
Smith misses with a kick to the body.
Corleone throws a series of punches but Smith moves out of range.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Smith - that will leave a mark!

Smith throws out a loose jab but Corleone uses good head movement to avoid it.
Smith connects with a solid leg kick.
Smith throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Corleone counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Corleone on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Smith looks to land a left hand but Corleone moved out of range nicely.
Smith throws a leg kick which misses Corleone's front leg but catches the back leg as Corleone tries to avoid it.

Corleone fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Corleone counters with a nice double leg into side control. Smith won't be happy with that.

You can see the frustration on Smith's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Corleone not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Smith keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Corleone throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Corleone seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Corleone sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Smith defending well though.
Corleone throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Smith has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Corleone is working away from the top position though.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Smith walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Corleone checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Smith tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Corleone is able to avoid easily.

Smith throws a jab but it's blocked by Corleone.
Smith connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A slow jab from Corleone misses its intended target.

Corleone shoots in and bounces Smith off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Corleone is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Smith tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Corleone with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Corleone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Corleone seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Smith clobbers Corleone with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

and Corleone counters with a nice double leg into side control. Smith won't be happy with that.
Corleone postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Smith managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Corleone.
Corleone has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Corleone misses with the ground and pound.
Smith parries the strikes from Corleone easily there. Corleone is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Smith to escape.

Corleone throws and elbow that misses. Smith uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Corleone's guard. Nice move by Smith!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Corleone is adopting a defensive guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because John Smith just wasn't active enough.
Smith misses with a double jab.
Corleone throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Corleone off to one side.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Corleone slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Smith throws the kick towards the body but Corleone avoids it.

Rich Corleone comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Corleone has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
