The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez swings for the body but Trautman moves out of range.
Trautman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Martinez is fending him off so far but Trautman persists. Nope, Martinez circles away and we're back to standing.
Trautman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Martinez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
No luck for Trautman with that takedown attempt.
Martinez swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Trautman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Trautman wants to control from the top but Martinez keeps moving.
Martinez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Martinez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trautman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Trautman thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Martinez wants to stand and escape but Trautman is having none of it.

Trautman drops back looking for a leg! Martinez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Martinez manages to kick Trautman off! Trautman jumps back into Martinez's guard.
Martinez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Trautman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Martinez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Martinez wants to stand up but Trautman is controlling him.
Trautman is pushing down on Martinez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Martinez is fighting to maintain full guard but Trautman has managed to sneak the leg through.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Trautman is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Martinez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
