Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Hanley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grandmaster Red (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grandmaster Red is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jason Hanley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Grandmaster Red! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Red displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hanley throws out the jab. Hanley with a body punch. A glancing blow. Red looks to land a left hand but Hanley moved out of range nicely. Red missing with a left hand there. Hanley was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Red takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jason Hanley just wasn't active enough. Red lands with a good body shot. Red throws a jab but it's blocked by Hanley. Hanley throws an overhand right that lands on Red's shoulder, as Red tries to avoid the shot. Hanley staying out of range there. Hanley fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Hanley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Red sprawls well. Red wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hanley gets slowly back to his feet. Red uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hanley. Hanley waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Red. Hanley throws a hook but Red blocks it.

Hanley punishes Red's body with a nice straight punch. Grandmaster Red is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Decent striking displayed by Hanley there. Red uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hanley. Hanley slips a jab and a cross from Red.
Red misses with a straight left. Hanley closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Red to the mat! Red manages to get full guard. Hanley sitting in guard here, content to control. Hanley working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Red can do anything to dispel that myth. Hanley scoring with some ground and pound. Red wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hanley postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Red trying to control the position.
Hanley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hanley trying to control but Red is working from the bottom. Hanley throws a big right hand that misses. No, Red has managed to free his arm - good work. Hanley perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. That's one minute gone in the round. Red is looking for a sweep. Hanley is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Red is not content to let Hanley control the position. Hanley thows a huge punch but Red dodges it nicely.
Hanley takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Hanley has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We're going to have a standup here because Jason Hanley wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hanley, as that shot connected.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hanley ducks under a wild hook from Red.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters circle momentarily. Red darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Hanley throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Red looks to throw the jab but Hanley is out of range. Hanley swings for the body but Red moves out of range.
Hanley steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Red. Red throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Grandmaster Red is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Red misses with a looping left. Oooooh!!! Red has knocked Hanley down with a huge combo! Red steps away and waves a wobbly Hanley back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Hanley is rocked! Jab, jab by Red - just one landing. Oh Hanley is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The fighters circling - Red throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Hanley seems to have got his legs back now. Red stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Red lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hanley circles away quickly and effectively. Hanley throws a shot from downtown. Red moves away and avoids it. Red misses the jab. Hanley misses with a hook to the body
and Red connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Red misses with a jab, cross combination.

Grandmaster Red showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Hanley ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Grandmaster Red seems to be getting the better of the standup. Red stuns Hanley with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Red scores with a jab to the body. Hanley takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Hanley moves away from the strike by Red. Red scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Hanley bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hanley misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Red.

Red lands a jab to Hanley's midsection. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Red misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hanley.

Red slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Red defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hanley. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Hanley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Red steps in with a hook that catches Hanley right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Red follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Hanley looks absolutely devastated.
